I'm trying to install the expansions, and at World Adventures it prompts me to update the base game first. When I allow it, I get this error message: "Update of The Sims 3 failed, Setup is unable to continue."
At which point the setup exits.
Is there something I'm missing? I was following the directions in the readme.
Great torrent otherwise, I'll seed as long as I can :)

Check your Hard Drive's space. Go to My Computer and check the condition of your Hard Drive the archive file is located at.
Make sure it isn't full.

Use System Restore. Is the best and safest way to restore your system to the pre-installation condition. Also check on internet for your case.
There are lots of people who are unable to install/uninstall the game properly.
I am not a technician, dunno how to help with this. Sims 3 is a game where things can really go wrong. This is EA's fault for making its Installation so complex and flawed. :(

I did figure it out in the end :) I had to do a manual uninstall, a bit of a pain but it worked.

...Still can't update for WA after re-installing the base game. Welp.

I have no idea why, but for some reason when I went right to installing High-End Loft Stuff, updating worked fine and it installed normally! I then went back to install WA, and it seems to be working so far :) So whatever happened with me, that seemed to fix it!

Oh, are you from France or US? Heard that these 2 countries have some notorious laws which allow the companies to send 3 warnings to you for downloading torrents. In the 3rd time, they ban your internet connection.

But I can't do anything about this. Some countries just have ridiculous laws (blame the politicians who are bribed by the companies). I myself have legally purchased the Sims 3 games before I gift them to my sis, and so this torrent is legal. If you have legally bought Sims 3, you can try complain to the company to null the warning they have sent to you, as the warning, according to the law, is valid for people who are not paying the game they use.

The download worked, I followed your instruction guide step by step and copied the University Life crack files in the base game bin. It starts up and goes through the loading screens fine (shows the university life loading screen) but when it gets to the town view, it says there is no disc and won't let me continue.

The game loads perfectly and starts up just fine but after I choose a town and it starts loading the entire thing crashes and force closes about an 8th of the way through the loading screen.... I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and found a solid fix for it. I tried the fix in previous comments but to no avail and my laptop can easily run the game, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Thanks for this torrent it is very convenient. It can be pretty slow most of the time (400 kBps) i got up to 1.5 MBps though. This torrent needs more seeders. I have been seeding at 500 kBps the whole time i have been downloading and plan to seed most of the day except at night at 600-700 kBps. Thanks for this great torrent.

I am having the same problem as "dwall9903" I have them installed and have copied the two files over... but it still says i need to install a disc...

also... when I go to copy the files over it asks me if i want to move and kkeep boith copies of the file or remove the old ones and keep the new ones. or not move the new ones and just jkeep the old ones

Hi there.

First off, thank you for such an amazing download. I'm seeding and helping the community :)

So I just updated the game to 1.55.4, I replaced the cracked EXE with the original (all from your folders) to allow it to update. Then I replaced the original with a crack.

Since the update, I haven't been able to play the game without crashing to screen. I get a long black loading screen then it cashes to desktop.

Is there any way around this? Possibly a new crack to support the update? Would be great to play the updated one. I hear you can buy multiple realestate and move town via computer/mobile :3

There is an update for Sims 3 but it won't update. It says there is some kind of error. Everything is installed right, it's just the new update that they have.

It's not going to work, because the system (Windows) is installed on disk C. You need the system archives to make any program functions, that's why everything is installed on disk C. You must delete something from C.

Setup has detected that the Sim tm 3 is corrupt or not properly installed. Setup is unable to continue.

Still don't have a fix. When I launch TS3W.exe or TS3.exe it loads a black screen and then crashes to desktop. I'm using the crack from University life file. I just updated the game to 1.55.

How can i fix this, is there a patch/crack to make this work?

I would support this torrent, but it is 60GB, when it is not needed. I have all the torrents offered from *Games4TheWorld* on here (Island Paradise too) and these along with the latest (June) items take up 30GB of space and the store folder is a bit more than 4GB. The only thing I have done was to remove from every file offered the updates from inside the support folder and only keep the update offered in the last expansion. Not that I am criticizing you, because you are offering everything in its original condition, but since updates do not get affected by which expansion packs you use, I did not consider that I need them all, only the last one and it's crack.

Solved my runtime issue. had to switch back to English(United States) App locale to get it to fix the issue.

Also finally fixed the darn launcher version 0.0.0.0 issue by cleaning out my registry of all sims shit that wasn't installed x.x

If it's asking for a CD, that means you did not install the crack. You should only need the crack for the original game. Open Crack.rar and copy and paste the files into The Sims 3 bin folder.

Hi again @SilentR, ignore the last post because I think i figured it out. Now what i'm having problems with is copying the crack files to the base game's bin. Problem is, I can't find the base game's bin. With macs, the whole "program files (x86)electronic arts" isn't the same so I don't know where to look. I've tried searching my entire computer for it and no luck.

For me, there was one folder titled "The Sims 3 Full [GY]" in my downloads and inside that folder was all of the .rar files that need to be extracted. If they're in VLC, it means that they're in some weird video kind of format, because that's what VLC does.

Game works great. Really slow load screens compared to my legitimate copy (moved, lost the games). Had to skip a few expansions or stuff packs since no one was seeding for them. Though I'd like to point out that University Life is missing its city... :[

I wanted to share my story with you all. I've been trying to update Sims to the last version, so I can install the latest expansions, yet I've tried everything and it never works!

When I saw this torrent,I got so happy and excited, I thought, THIS IS IT!
I spent 3 days and nights to download it,I had to make space for its 60gb.

I spent almost a whole night trying to install every expansion,and in the end,putting the crack in its place.
So, i took the instructions, and I believe I did everything right.

Yet, when I started the game,it said there was an error during the startup, log on for more information...

I don't know if anyone had any kind of problem like mine,but well,I'd just like to, for once, be able to place the last expansions,that's all I want, seriously, I see everyone else doing it,and loving it,and I'm just here watching, quite sad actually! :/

oh and like @kac34, I do not own a mac, I own a computer windows 7,and the autorun wouldn't work for me either, had to run the simsetup.
